About Us

Urdu Forum Incorporated is a not-for-profit charity, registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. Our mission is to promote Urdu language & literature with a special emphasis on education.

In doing so, our objective is to promote inclusiveness, harmony, social cohesion and further enhance multiculturalism in Australia.

To improve understanding of this centuries-old language and literature, our activities are focused on assisting people interested in improving their Urdu language skills by providing a supportive network and resource conduit.

Our poetry workshops, storytelling sessions and Urdu musical events, featuring local, interstate and international proponents of Urdu language, reflect our commitment in achieving this objective.

Our core activity lies in conducting Urdu language classes for adults and children. Courses range from basic conversational Urdu to more advanced formats.
